BS Ceramics Engineering Program Educational Objectives and Outcomes

BS Ceramics Engineering Program Educational Objectives

Within a few years after obtaining the bachelor's degree in Ceramics Engineering, the graduates:

  1. Function as engineers, researchers and innovators in the ceramic industries such as refractory, cements, glass and enamels, coating, sanitary and whitewares, tiles, semiconductor, dental, bioceramics and mining,
  2. Serve in the academe, and or pursue a continuing education in ceramics and related field,
  3. Engage as consultants in related materials industries including nanotechnology, nano/bulk composites, petroleum, medical, military, environmental agency, at least applying their background and hands-on experience to problem solving and to the development of efficient and sustainable ceramic manufacturing processes, and
  4. Contribute expertise, management, entrepreneurial and statistical skills to their careers in materials industry or academia, and to relate ceramic science and technology to a broad range of technical fields for the improvement of the quality of life.

BS Ceramics Engineering Program Outcomes
