The Iligan Institute of Technology of the Mindanao State University will host the 21st Mindanao Parliamentary Debate Championship on February 5-7, 2010. The MSU-IIT Steering Committee is deeply honored to invite debaters and adjudicators from colleges and universities throughout Mindanao to participate in this semestral debate summit and experience not just the hospitality of the people in Iligan City but the excitement and challenges of an intellectual tournament through the Asian Parliamentary Debate. The country鈥檚 leading debaters will adjudicate the said tournament.
Known for its excellence in science and technology, MSU-IIT looks forward to the date when most of the young minds in Mindanao will converge and showcase their skills and expertise in the field of debating. Truly, we consider this activity as enriching and worthwhile.
The 21st MPDC is yet another enriching tournament that offers opportunity to all participants to learn from each other in the spirit of a healthy competition, thus fostering camaraderie among the schools and universities in Mindanao.
The 21st MPDC registration fee is P2,500.00 which covers five (7) meals and four (4) snacks, exciting evening events to include world class performances, educational tour to Maria Cristina Falls and Macapagal Ancestral House, and, a three-night accommodation at Celadon House. Deadline for the registration will be January 22, 2010. Late registration will have a fine of 200php per participant. Those who can register on or before January 15, 2010 will have an early bird discount of 200php (Registration fee will be 2,300php per person). This tournament is also open to high school participants so we encourage your institutions to send high school contingents as well.
