Description:

The Samahang Pisika ng Visayas at Mindanao (Physics Society in Visayas and Mindanao) and the Cavite State University (CVSU), of Indang, Cavite, Philippines cordially invite everyone to the 17th SPVM National Physics Conference, 2015 International Conference on Applied Materials and Optical Systems (ICAMOS) and Optical Manipulation in Complex Systems (OMCS) to be held on October 22–24, 2015 at the Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, Philippines. This 3-fold event is officially endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education and the Department of Education.

Tertiary and secondary physics educators and researchers, as well as physicsstudents from different parts of the country are expected to participate in this three-day activity. This year’s conference will include several plenary and parallel sessions as well as poster paper presentations on relevant research findings in the fields of materials science, nanotechnology, medical physics, photonics, computational physics, theoretical physics, soft matter biophysics for complex systems and allied fields of practical significance including functional physics education programs and pedagogy in teaching physics. The annual SPVM gathering continues to serve as the venue for active dialogue between physics researchers/experts with physics teachers and students from all over the country and some foreign physicists.
