In accordance with the guidelines of Republic Act 11650, the Center for Learning and Academic Support Services (CLASS), in collaboration with the Office of Guidance and Counseling,will hold a virtual seminar on diversity and inclusion among faculty and staff with a theme “Breaking Down Barriers: Promoting Diversity and Inclusion” on October 12, 2023 from 1:00 pm – 4:00pm via Zoom. This seminar aims to promote and provide a more diverse learning environment while guaranteeing adherence to the rules established by the act and how they relate to our institution's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The following are the agenda of the said seminar: 1. Understand concepts of diversity and inclusion; 2. Raising awareness of unconscious bias; 3. Spot opportunities to integrate such awareness in how they cope with their own mental health and related concerns; and 4. Fostering an academic environment that encourages mentoring and coaching.
