MSU-IIT

This event aims to gather educators and network members, curriculum
developers, and peacebuilding advocates to foster an environment of mutual
learning and collaboration, aiming to refine and innovate curricula that
underscore the principles of peace and sustainable courses inside and outside the
classroom.

The objectives of the workshop include:
1. Facilitate a learning exchange between participants to understand the
foundational elements of peacebuilding in educational context.
2. Exploring innovative participatory teaching methods and didactics that
integrate peacebuilding themes.
3. Collaborating to produce a comprehensive and contextualized curriculum
tailored for promoting peace and harmony in diverse educational settings
both inside and outside the classroom.

There are different sessions, workshops, and interactive activities organized and
invited local and international speakers to have a meaningful exchange with
MSU-IIT students and teachers.

The learning exchange is part of the curriculum program developed by MSU-IIT
through the School of Interdisciplinary Studies (SIS) and Institute for Peace and
Development in Mindanao (IPDM) in partnership with GIZ ZFD Southeast Asian
University Partnership for Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation (SAUP)
where a south-to-south and south-to-north professional exchange is established
where lessons learned and best practices on conflict transformation are collected
and shared among peace practitioners and selected universities (NUBB from
Cambodia, UNPAZ from Timor-Leste, MSU-IIT from the Philippines, and
University of Marburg in Germany).
