Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s Degree is a plus).
• Strong background in programming languages such as Python, C, or C++.
• Familiarity with machine learning, deep learning, and convolutional neural networks (CNN).
• Experience in developing software systems or embedded systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of image processing and computer vision is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with RTOS's and 32-bit ARM-based microcontrollers
• Experience with embedded Linux programming
• Experience with source code management and version control (GIT)

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Assist the lead researcher in conducting a comprehensive review of existing technologies and systems related to sign language translation.
• Contribute to the design and development of the system prototype, focusing on the implementation of CNN algorithms for sign language recognition.
• Assist in collecting and preprocessing image and audio datasets for training the machine learning models.
• Support the development and testing of the two-way real-time translation system (sign language to voice and voice to sign language).
• Participate in the system deployment and conduct performance evaluations to assess the prototype's accuracy and effectiveness.
• Document research processes, experimental setups, and results in research reports and presentations.
• Assist in preparing project progress reports and research publications.
• Coordinate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of research milestones.
• Stay updated with recent advancements in machine learning, computer vision, and sign language recognition technologies.
• Perform other research-related tasks as assigned by the project lead.
