Project Title: Development and Integration of a Vision-Based Detection and Tracking System for Fixed-Wing UAVs in Humanitarian and Tactical Operations
Project Leader: Prof. Sherwin Guirnaldo, Ph.D
Duration: 6 months (April 2025 - September 2025)
Salary: Php 27,000/month
Tentative schedule of interview: March 27 or 28, 2025

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering
  • Strong Programming skills in Python, C++, MATLAB, or a similar language
  • Experience with CNN for computer vision
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in fine tuning of UAV’s communication system
  • Assist in the design of the control framework and hardware
  • Assist in the assembly of control hardware components
  • Assist in firmware integration and testing
  • Helps on the documentation of the project
  • Assist in testing and validating the system in both simulated and actual UAV environments
  • Performs other functions as may be required by the project leader
