Vice Chancellor, Research & Extension

Dr. Jinky is the project leader of the Center of Innovation and Technopreneurship @MSU-IIT. Her active engagement in entrepreneurship began in 2008 when she attended the Entrepeneurship Workshop for Scientist and Engineers at the International Center for Theoretical Physics in Trieste, Italy. She also organized a similar workshop in 2011, which was held in Cebu City. Traveling from country to country, she has witnessed some highly developed TBI scene in Europe including TBIs in Austria and Germany and learned about the visions and operations of these incubators and how they help the country’s science and technology scene.

Dr. Jinky is a full blown Physicist. She is a proud graduate of Mindanao State University with a Bachelor degree in Physics. She later obtained her Masteral and Doctoral degrees in Physics at the University of the Philippines-Diliman.

Aside from her on going productive physics research in an international collaboration and with MSU-IIT students, she is also interested with photography, music, sports.

Currently, she is the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension of èßäAV.

Professor Jo, a full-time professor in Entrepreneurship and Marketing at the College of Business Administration & Accountancy of the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, has long been engaged in institutional extension development work that focuses on Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDPs).

She is a national trainer/facilitator on EDP using the Competency-based Economies through the Formation of Enterprises (CEFE) model, Prof Jo had been involved in the design and conduct of trainings (national/regional/local) in enterprise formation using CEFE technology to various market segments such as rebel returnees, women, graduating students, would-be retirees, existing business persons and extension workers all over the country from north to south since 1996.

Marlo was once a corporate slave doing employer branding activities for a leading fast moving consumer good company in the country who then unchained himself and joined the very fascinating world of teaching. This work-life balance advocate teaches management, entrepreneurship and marketing during weekdays and wanders on long weekends. He loves going on a solo travel with a good book and alternative music as buddies. During spare time, he is busy thinking ways to reposition the image of Iligan City and Mindanao as a true land of lasting peace and promising bounty.

Manager, Center of Innovation and Technopreneurship

Dave is the current Center Manager of CIT@MSU-IIT, the first technology business incubator in Mindanao. He started his career as an Associate for Marketing and Advocacy of IdeaSpace Foundation where he works hand in hand with different communities to deliver and scale the IdeaSpace Advocacy.

Dave obtained his BS Marketing Management degree at Colegio de San Juan de Letran in 2013. Dave’s interests include design thinking, photography, videography, tech gadgets, exotic pets, surfing and waterfalls hopping. He is also a Startup Weekend organizer and has been active in organizing startup events in the country.
