MSU-IIT is set to confer degrees upon its graduating students in the 55th Commencement Ceremonies, 1st Semester Graduation, on February 21, 2025, marking an important event in their academic journey. Students, faculty, University officials, and guests will convene at the University Gymnasium at 3:00 PM.

The graduating class of 2025 consists of 305 students from different colleges and from undergraduate and graduate levels. Led by Elchie Mae Sutana from the College of Education, this batch is flocked with the following number of Latin honorees: 25 Magna Cum Laudes, and 66 Cum Laudes.

This Commencement Ceremony will welcome Dr. Jayeel S. Cornelio, Director IV of the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI), as the guest speaker. A visionary and an excellent leader, Dr. Cornelio is expected to deliver a keynote address that will inspire the graduates as they go beyond the walls of MSU-IIT.

One of the highlights of the ceremony is the presentation of the new Grand Marshal designated to carry the University Mace, an honor bestowed upon the longest-serving tenured faculty member who is also recognized for their significant contributions to the University and the community. This year, leading his first procession is Prof. German Gervacio from the Departamento ng Filipino at Iba Pang Mga Wika of the College of Arts and Social Sciences.

Family members, friends, and the wider MSU-IIT community are expected to attend the event, either in person or through live streaming, ensuring that everyone can partake in the celebration. The livestream will be shared on the official Facebook page of MSU-IIT.
