The Mindanao State University-Systems Admission and Scholarship Examination (MSU-SASE) kicked off at 9 MSU-IIT-managed testing centers around Mindanao today, February 25.
More than 9,600 hopeful Grade 12 students took the examination at MSU-IIT, reflecting a notable increase from the previous year's count of over 6,000 examinees.
The exam, spearheaded by the Office of Admissions, Scholarships and Grants (OASG), is conducted in four batches: two in the morning and two in the afternoon, at various campus locations namely, the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS);College of Economics, Business and Accountancy (CEBA); College of Computer Studies (CCS); College of Education (CED); and at the Gymnasium.
Additional testing centers, managed by MSU-IIT, were established at various locations, such as the Tubaran National High School (TNHS) in Barangay Mandulog of Iligan; Bukidnon National High School in Malaybalay; Bukidnon National School of Home Industries in Maramag; Ignacio Tan Integrated School in Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental; Ozamiz National High School in Ozamiz City; Misamis Occidental National High School in Oroquieta City; Sergio Osmeña National High School in Zamboanga del Norte; and in Bislig National High School in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur.
The said exam is also held at one testing center located at the MSU-Manila Information Office in Ermita, Manila.
MSU-SASE examinees are taking tests on science, math, language, and aptitude.
Security has been strengthened at the university, and measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of the examinees.
Overseeing the activity and ensuring the smooth conduct of the said examination are Chancellor Alizedney M. Ditucalan, Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs Nancy Q. Echavez, OASG Director Jocelyn P. Vilela, and faculty and staff who served as supervising examiners and proctors.
