MSU-IIT participated in the 10th ASEAN Council of Physical Education and Sport (ACPES) 2024 International Conference held at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Malaysia on September 18-20, 2024.
Three representatives from the University, namely, Ms Jhovelyne A. Acosta and Ruben Alabat, graduate students, and Dr. Lydie Paderanga, former Dean of the College of Education (CED), won Best Paper Presenter Awards.
The current CED Dean, Prof. Monera A. Salic-Hairulla, was the conference keynote speaker who spoke on current trends and innovations in teaching and learning physical education, highlighting MSU-IIT’s best practices.
CED faculty member, Dr. Chiedel Joan G. San Diego, also attended the conference as an institutional speaker. She presented her innovative study on the fusion of soccer, sipa, and tumbang lata skills in creating a recreational game, earning wide acclaim for its cultural depth and creativity.
During the conference, it was officially announced that MSU-IIT would be the host of ACPES 2025.
