DFP faculty served as language validators for the lesson exemplars for Kindergarten Matatag Curriculum Education

MSU-IIT faculty members from the Departamento ng Filipino at Panitikan (DFP) served as language validators in DepEd Region 10: Development, Validation, and Finalization of Lesson Exemplars for Kindergarten Matatag Curriculum during a week-long workshop held at Monicon Hotel, El Salvador City on November 23-30, 2024.
The strategic partnership with the esteemed MSU-IIT faculty members, Asst. Prof. Loi Vincent C. Deriada, Asst. Prof. Tilshane R. Yap, Asst. Prof. Jesabel B. Rizon and Asst. Prof. Alia D. Ramber aims to develop contextualized learning exemplars and learning packages, aligned with the MATATAG Curriculum.
This extension service of the faculty members fortifies the connection among DepEd teachers in providing complete backing to students’ learning experience through crafting contextualized materials that can be used among teachers in Region 10.
This collaboration also underscores MSU-IIT’s commitment to extension services for its community and the university’s dedication to quality education. The expertise of the faculty members in literature and language brings out a new set of curriculum materials that are linguistically accurate and culturally relevant to engage young learners in the learning process. This initiative not only benefits the students of Region 10 but also has the potential to impact the entire educational system.
